Every tour is private, scheduled on dates of your choice, beginning on a Friday and ending on a Monday in Bamako; there are no fixed-date scheduled departures.
Contact us for prices. Groups of any size are welcome. Be sure to specify the month/year of travel, and how many persons are in your party—prices are digressive, so a better value per person for a party of four than a party of two, etc.
Regretfully this desert tour is temporarily unavailable, due to insecurity in the desert.

Bamako – Timbuktu (by air) – Sahara desert Transfer to the airport for your early morning flight to Timbuktu; meet your Tuareg guide and your camel caravan, and depart into the desert; dinner and overnight camping in Ercle n'Walan oasis |

NB: camping is no frills, sleeping on a ground mattress in a small tent; there are no campgrounds, so no running water, no latrines. Camping in Mali is not recommended for inexperienced campers.
NB: Domestic flights are subject to availability; if flights are not available, add two days for roundtrip overland transportation to/from Timbuktu.

- Bamako hotel, 2 nights double occupancy, with breakfast
- Timbuktu hotel, 2 nights, double occupancy, with breakfast (B)
- 6 nights camping in the desert; bring your sleeping bags, other camping gear provided
- day-room in Bamako on the final day
- domestic flights Bamako-Timbuktu and Timbuktu-Bamako (priced separately)
- all airport transfers for domestic flights
- all-inclusive desert excursion: camels, Tuareg guide, camp cook, all meals (as outlined above) and bottled mineral water in the desert
- all hotel taxes, local tourism taxes and site visit fees, as per tour program
- airport transfers upon international arrival and departure in Mali (Bamako)
Tour does not include international travel to/from Bamako; Mali visas; non-specified meals, drinks/bottled water; sleeping bags; tips and personal expenses.
